I know I may be a bit bias, but I think I have some pretty darn cute kids. Their faces are just so sweet, soft and snuggly and I sure do love my little man! I know I haven't posted a gazillion of them here, but I have taken some here and there and I have busted out the big camera a time or two.
Here are a few shots from bath time the other night. He sure is a cutie and his smile can light the room!
| {have you ever seen a sweeter, more innocent face!?} |
He had his 4 month appointment last week but we have not yet gotten his shots. He has been so sick and with fevers between 102-103 and trying to get that down and get him well, I didn't want to stick him with anything else. We will go back in a few weeks and get caught up.
Speaking of him being sick, he has had his cough for almost 4 weeks now. I am MORE than ready for him to be over it. He at one point lost his voice and that was the saddest thing I have EVER heard. He would try to cry and nothing would come out. Thankfully, I think he is perking back up!
All of his stats are good. He is 16 lbs {75%}, 25 inches {50%} and his head is 16 3/4 inches {50%}.
I found this picture of Anne Margaret on her 4 Month post and I think they look SO much alike!!
Baby Brother is still sleeping in a swing in our room. More than likely we will move him to the pack n play in our room for a while. Mainly this is because we haven't done anything about their new rooms and so once we transition there, we will look to move him to the crib. I like him close by though and am in NO rush to get the little guy out! We have left him in the swing because of his cold/sickness for the past month and wanting to have him upright. He is getting a bit big and squirmy in there so we need to look to get him at least to the pack n play! -Sometimes I try to nap him there, just not all of the time!
As for what he is up to and his schedule?? He has gotten much more energetic and has been able to be put down to play on his own more lately. We were doing great with this til our sickness last week. I am hoping this week to get back on schedule.
CT4 has really taken a liking to his play mat and he also has thoroughly enjoyed playing with his toes. He doesn't seem to be too interested in rolling over yet, though occasionally he will try to turn more to one side. I am not too worried - I know its coming. He LOVES staring at the TV and I know its bad but sometimes if my hands are full with AM, I will use it to entertain him.
He has started cooing and talking quite a bit. We have had some ear concerns that we are following up on but all of his squealing and pterodactyl like noises are encouraging.
Lately, he has been going to bed between 8:45 and 9:30 and wakes up around 8:30 in the morning. I am SO thankful that both of my babies are good sleepers....now if I can just get to bed before 2 AM, we will be golden! ;)
I can't believe he is already big enough to fit into the stroller and to fit in Anne Margaret's high chair. It seems like he should still be too baby-ish to fit, but I guess he is getting bigger! Soon we will get a double stroller. We have held out to save money and waiting on a sale and the time is almost here! I cant wait!
The doctor said we could go ahead and start on rice cereal and solids. In all honesty, we will probably just wait. We are in a good routine with nursing and the rice cereal has little to no nutritional value, so I don't see a point in rushing into that. Lets be honest, homeboy is 16 lbs so its not like he is missing meals!
We will probably wait til closer to 5 months and then do oatmeal for a week or so and then launch straight into sweet potatoes, bananas, avocados, etc. I am not sure if I am ready to begin the entire food making process again! AHH! Ready or not, I guess here we come!
I sure do love my little Brother Bear!
