After this and then this, I am happy to report that my passport arrived safe and sound in my mailbox on November 8, 2008. All that to say, I guess it totally depends on who opens the mail the day your information is sent in as to whether or not they feel like processing it. 

I have also learned that the postman apparently staples his together better than I do, therefore always to do everything through them and then the government will process it instead of send it back to you with a letter that makes no sense......weird, but at least its done!
